Puffins Of Dunnet Head

Dunnet Head is a headland located in Caithness, Scotland, and is home to a large population of seabirds, including puffins. Puffins are easily recognized by their colorful bills and penguin-like appearance. They spend most of their lives at sea but come to shore during the breeding season to nest and raise their young.

At Dunnet Head, the best time to see puffins is during the summer months, from May to August. Visitors can take a short hike along the cliff tops to reach the puffin colonies and observe these charming birds up close. The puffins can be seen perched on the cliffs, flying overhead, and diving into the sea to catch fish.

Dunnet Head is a designated nature reserve and an important site for seabird conservation. It is important to follow the rules and regulations when visiting the reserve to minimize the impact on the wildlife and their habitat.
