Puffins

Bullers Of Buchan

Puffins are easily recognizable by their striking appearance, with their black and white plumage, bright orange legs, and distinctive large, colourful beaks. During the breeding season, their beaks become brighter in colour, which helps attract mates.
Puffins usually nest in burrows on cliffs or in rocky crevices, where they lay a single egg. Both parents take turns incubating the egg and caring for the chick once it hatches.
